The Winery of Ellicottville's new labels for it's signature blends
The Winery of Ellicottville's new labels for it's signature blends
Updated bottle label designs for the EVL Series of wines from the Winery of Ellicottville. "EVL "is a moniker for Ellicottville, the town where the winery is located. These are signature wines, so I kept the labels recognizable by utilizing the same colors and graphics.
Recipe cards and wine pairing suggestion cards are given to customers who visit the winery and show interest in particular wines. They are a great way to start a conversation and increase sales.
Logos
When creating logos I like to keep them simple and utilize a minimum amount of colors. This makes a big difference in printing costs for non-profits and small businesses.

Color Theory
Creating a new label design for current wines, as well as future wines, takes a lot of planning and going through every "what if?" After months of revisions and color samples from the printer, we launched the new labels for the winery's varietals. The blue-green color palette was for the white wine, tying in the previous label color scheme. We used the purple-pink color scheme for the reds; the darker, richer wines carried the deep purple tones, and the lighter, fruitier wines received the pink tones.
These label designs convey a summery, laid-back feeling for the sweeter bubbly wines. The bright colors and abstract backgrounds create a stark contrast from the more serious varietals.

Page Layouts
Workbook page layouts and standardized test forms from my time in educational publishing. I worked together with authors, editors, and artists on these products.
